Claiming the Bride

In line with Chinese customs, the day officially started with the Groom arriving to claim the Bride from her home.

There were a few hurdles for King Chai to jump over. Morning tea with the Bride’s family, performing a magic trick for the Maid of Honour and Bridesmaids, and declaring five promises to the Bride before she was allowed to be whisked away.
